anyways, im kinda new to all this, i just sold my 1929 model A and have picked up a 1952 mercury truck and a 1951 hudson pacemaker, anyways the truck has been clipped, has a full wiring package from a 76 volare but running a gm 12v alt,
anyways what i have come up with is one wire off the tank is a ground other goes to the guage its been disconnected right now, if its a 12 volt what kinda resister do i need to make it work properly? and also cause wiring is so packed around it can someone help me out a lil and tell me how to easily remove the left instrument cluster,
any help would be greatly appreciated

  4. I think LMC Truck sells resistors to run 12 v and retain your 6v gauges if that's what you're going for. I would seriously consider starting all over again with the wiring. I've never heard of a time when 32 year old wiring from a completely different car could be advantageous.
