Finally got settled in Tennessee, found a job and a bunch of old cars to keep me droolin til retirement, but best of all, reliable internet to get my jalopy journal fix..aobut time...i missed this place... They have a cruise every saturday night here on the main drag and everyone hangs out at hardees, i havent seen any riceburners pull in to the lot, lol...there is a sweet orange A sedan, and a few tri-5 chevies, along with a nice lil 51 chevy coupe...the only primered rides I have seen so far would be a couple of old muscle-mopars, that is about to change when i get the '56 out here... any HAMB'rs from east tennessee???
I am from the ***berland plateau area. But the Greazy Hubcapz are from the East Tenn. area. They are all centered around Maryville Tn. Thats out there just below Knoxville. There are a lot of things going on in Tenn. You just gotta know where to look. If you really want the scoop, get in touch with Ratster on here and he will let you know about the Greazy get togethers. Ratster is one of the grand Greazys and a damn cool guy. If you get to hang with the Greazys you will have a good time. They got some cool rides. Check it out: GREAZY HUBCAPZ Later, JT.
Welcome to Tennessee, hillbilly. I'm in middle TN just a stones throw north of Nashville. Our cruise-in season is just about to wrap up. There are two on Friday nights, four on Saturdays and one on Sunday, plus the usual once a year shows hosted by local clubs. One of the Friday nights cruise-ins is in Murfreesboro and usually has over 200 cars (and trucks). If you're in the right place at the right time, you'll see my Hot Rod Black '66 F-100 rollin' around Nashville. Tracy
thanks for the welcome back...I been hangin out on the HAMB since '99 after I met Ryan and Marcie at hangin dice in Ft Smith Arkansas...there are a couple pics on here from Hangin Dice '99 that have my rides in em...one is an interior shot of my '51 Ford Business coupe, and a shot of a guy playin guitar beside my '59 biscayne ....happy days those were, I miss hangin dice (sigh)... btw...if ryan reads this, I just saw yer car in Rod & Custom....I like the description ya gave bro, that dash insert made from the lizard king's legbone must have cost a fortune
