I got the motor mounts welded in and braced up the cab a little better. That is not the front end I am going to run, I have a 4" dropped and drilled I beam with a stiffer spring, also need to redo the suicide mount before I mount the new axle. It is starting to look it might even turn out okay.
Its got a four link and I have a set of coilovers. The rear is about at the right height. front is coming up a couple of inches. 28oak
Looks a lot like the '35 Cornbinder I'm building. Did you replace all the wood? How much did you chop it? Are yo using 18" front wheels? It is looking great. Nice job so far.
I left most of the wood in the doors, but I replaced all the cab wood with steel. The front wheels are 16" It is chopped 2 1/2" thanks!! Do you have pics of yours?
Very cool, i hope to start on one of my C's soon (i have a 1935 and 2 1936's), one is going to stay IH powered wtih a built SV392 4-barrel.
YOU ****! just kiddin... sorry i couldn't help 28O... this head cold thing has me down for the count. Wish I had been there!
No problem on the help. went pretty easy. I had the time set aside and went for it. I was supprised it didn't squat down lower with that little spring up front.
The thing is completely apart right now. Just painting the frame today. I hope my computer savvy grandson will bring his digital camera over so I can start a post about ***embling the truck.
looks great. i would however raise the engine a little in the car, maybe 2 or 3 inches. It would look cooler a little higher and would help with the oil pan clearance. Trust me, i run mine 3" off the ground and it makes me very nervous on a bad road.
Cool truck!...... However here in Aberdeen Washington where it rains 80" a year 15 miles from the pacific that truck would have rusted completely away by now. Nice work!
...awesome little truck you got there, I like the wheel color, are those motorcyle front tires (whites on both sides). Did you cut the top at the seam above the rear window? ...nice place you got there,...no snow huh? ...how's the coupe comin?
truck looks great, keep us posted once you have the ch***is built, would like to see pics of the inside of the cab too! good job.
The coupe is done, (if they are ever done) Was going to drive to the Round-up but just don't have the time. The front tires are motorcycle 16's and yes I took 2 1/2 inches off at the seam. Worked real nice. Thanks 28oak
Yeah, that truck is pretty much just awesome. Are you and Chadillac coming to the Kansas HAMB B Q this year so we can see that T Bird?
