  8. More updates! This is what happend on Monday and Thuesday.

Got some 1/2" hydraulic pipes from work so we could do fenderwell openings in back.(Sorry about my english). Also welded the front axle crossmember and cut out the old frame pipes and welded new and fresch ones that also was much thicker!
Removed the rearend and will soon start to mould up for the Chevy-axle before we start reworking it so it will fit!

A blown Hemi in that thing would be sweet...but then again you'd have about 10 times your budget into it...and it would be twisted!!! Keep it goin'- I want to see massive burnout footage from Sweden!

So bitchin! In my mispent youth,I couldn't come up with the $150.00 a guy wanted for a cherry 59? wagon!Man I wish my priorities weren't chicks and beer! That things gonna be cool as hell!

  14. So you almost had your hands on a 59 Anglia Wagon? Cool!! Planes are to have it driveable to A car meet nearby in the end of June. We will properbly be in the center of all attention!! :)

  15. Last welding was done on the body except the inner and outer Rocker panels on both sides witch we will take from the Chevy vans roof that has almost the right stance to fit on the Escort

That's a pretty good looking body for a European car. Not too much rust at all.:)

Your English is fine, better than most rednecks' for sure.

Ha! That's the old Gosson Bros "BTU"... It started off as a "cheap or free" build and kinda got carried away. Alas, I had to sell it last year. Should be debuting at NorCal strips pretty soon...
Anyway, I love your build-up! Keep grinning and PLEASE keep posting! I'm loving this...

  19. Cool that you all seems to like what we do!

We will keep u updated and will get you driving and burnoutmovies when its ready for street use.

And if it works out fine and we like the finished gasser we might even build another one on some other cool european car!

That should be absolutely awsome when finished! Good Luck.

  26. Great idea! Think they begun building them in 54 or 55....... :)

  27. Thanks!

  28. I LOVE it This is so great.......... About OSW, I don't know, isn't that a show for American cars, maybe, but I guess it's up to the A-Bombers club - Right?
But hands down I love the car

    Klaus

  29. Maybe its all American now but i saw some old eurocars/ratrods when i was there last time about 4 years ago. Anyway we will try and be at Power Hotrod reunion if nothing els comes up!!

  30. Um ... Not at OSW ... they are strick with the year and make of cars that they let into the "inner circle" of the meet (which means at present day, that actually are allowed to drive on to the party site). You might have seen something european "outside" the car meet, but 2004 was the first year at Backmo, so there was no "outer circle" with the "belly button" pre '57 cars. The A-Bombers have their "rules" for a reason, and it's an American car meet!

There have been some non '56 cars racing the hill over the years but they were special cars, and that was the decision of the members ... it's their show their final say. And, one year they let Pekka, The Wizzzzard, park his '70-71 Buick inside, because of it's awesome paint job. There have been other examples of exceptions but for the most part ... it's American cars - pre 1957. Of course, some cars have "slipped" by the "parking attendents" but the cars were swiftly taken back out when brought to the attention of the A-Bombers. You can't expect the people doing the parking to be 100% correct every time, but they do a damn good job keeping the post '56 cars out ... and the people in attendance are also watching for something that doesn't belong ... and then it's OUTTA HERE! Cars have been moved without keys or the owners awareness before, that's how serious the pre '57 rule is.

Just my experience as the "head" parking attendent at OSW for 5 glorious years ... and I'm not an A-Bomber.

And .... so there's no misunderstanding ... I still think your Anglia RULES!
