I want to get a good home photo printer - to print car photos!

anyone have any advice on a good one? I would like it to be fast - non paper jamming, good resolutiuon (what is good resolution by current standards?) Has reasonable ink cost?

I see that now some of them have wireless capability - woo hoo - anybody know how that works?

    is there a laser variety?

I ask the HAMB because I know there are resident experts here for everything!!

I use an EPSON STYLUS PHOTO R300. It has 6 separate ink cartridges so, that may not fit your criteria on the ink cost. It has never jammed and it does print very nice photos.
    I'm happy with it.

I have an epson picture mate.. One of the early ones with no viewer.. And although it doesnt have that its a good printer. The ink inst chap though and it only does regular size pictures like you would get from the store. the one thing i havent tried yet is taking my memory card and going to the store and printing them out. It almost may be cheaper in the long run if you have a lot of pictures to print. I do have a larger H/P printer that will print photos but i dont use it for that. Most all the printers use too much ink for my taste and wallet thats why ive thought about the store deal..Id still keep my picture mate for quick print offs..

We use a Kodak G600 for 4x6 photos because its print isn't supposed to fade over time, like will happen with all inkjet prints. It p***es each print through four times, printing one color at a time. It also serves as "camera dock", a place to put the camera and re-charge the batteries, make picture transfers, etc. It was cheap to buy (about $100.), but the cartridges and paper are kinda expensive. The saving grace is that you end up printing what you want and keeping the rest on the 'puter or on a DVD.

I use three other printers for this and that. They all print photos (one prints off of three foot wide rolls) and they all work well, but the color quality of the little Kodak printer is far better. The pictures are even better than what you get from a regular non-digital camera and the local speedy photo processing service.
