Hi, guys. Does anyone know how rare a three-carb Nicson intake for a stovebolt is, or what it is worth?

I've only seen one Nicson valve cover in my whole life,on a 53 Chevy in S.C. many decades ago and it wasn't for sale. They are a damn good looking valve cover, seems like it would be easy to reproduce. I wish somebody would.:D

I know a guy by the name of Lee and he seems to always find Nicson, McGurk, and other rare six poper manifolds. I think he sells on line now, but, he used to always go to our local Long Beach swap meet. I'll have to see if I can find his card and contact info. He may have moved to AZ or Utah, but, as far as I know, he's the best sorece for info and old Chevy sixbanger hot rod parts.

Me personally,I like genuine stuff. Not really into repo or stuff that they never made.I know that the geunine inline stuff is pricey and hard to find but it is out there.

I like Wierd Old Speed Equipment an have gathered up some Nicson Stuff for the 216~'52 235.

I picked up a NICSON Side cover, Valve Cover, & a 3x1 Intake (Thanks Heathen) & a pair of FENTON Cast Headers, All for the Early Engine.

I am interested in seeing what NICSON had for Air Cleaners

I would Trade the FENTON Headers for FENTON Headers with the HEAT RISER.

  19. the one's with the heat riser are hard to find and not cheap when you do find them

Nothing special, like the cast aluminum units that Edmunds made. I've got a 1956 Nicson catalog, and the complete intake/carb/air cleaner setups pictured show the standard (for the day) round chrome bonnet type air cleaners.

  23. mistgreen50, in the backround pic, where did you find the inserts for the air cleaners? I recently got another to make a pair, one has the original insert (although taller than yours) and the other is something someone made outta chicken wire.
