...damn fine stuff so far..a little O/T..maybe not allowed here.....a couple of Canadian squadron nose arts I finished up , and framed them in rough lumber to resemble shipping crates. The pilots names are guys that never made it back.
Rollie - those are beautiful, and in my opinion not o/t at all. I really like your framing decision, very "outside the box" ... nevermind, you get what I'm saying. Janne - that Bike pic is intense. I LOVE the energy and movement. Damn.
Lot's of killer work! It's been a while since my last visit. Glad to see the Friday Art Show still going strong! Keep up the great work!
Trying my hand at adding color to my orignal black and white drawiing a few weeks back. Second image is marker and prismacolor pencils. The third is a Corel rendering under construction.
No art again from me today but just wanted to say thanks for dropping by my spot at the roundup and saying Hi. SurfMonkey....very nice work. I love it. I look forward to posts to come.
something i did for a fellow hamber i posted it last week, but he went and chopped it without telling me, so i fixed it. Open the window in full for best quality. its only thursday at 5:00 and there are already too many names to type...janne, meteor, surf monkey etc...great start fellas
Great painting Surf Monkey, you've really nailed the light reflection. Buick59, I really dig the exterior nite shot of Sun Studios. And Rustydeuce, great work on an unusual medium, looks great.
cheers guys for the comments....the scan mutes the colors....i love to get purple into drawings and the scan doesn`t show it too well
I like what you've done. Nice idea, exicution and final designs are cool. I dont think the story of Canadian pilots have ever been told. Thats a good idea.
Thanx Shawn...NO, not Bell...and I appreciate the compliment, he's one of the great artists in the US, no doubt. I learned a lot by studying Bell's style...mine is not as "cartoony," however...here's another I did for a friend...you'll note the "wet n' Wooley"...well, that was his nickname...and he owned a '35 Chevy... Nothin new for this week, Just something old.. I did this for my ol' man, on his hearder panel in his 32' Hilborn Truck. This thing is about THREE inches tall.. Great stuff guys.. Shaw
Dunno how this fits in exactly, but it definitely has a vintage feel (i hope!), a project I been workin on with my pops. Its almost done, i would like to add some stainless or br*** detail, and a namebadge to make it legit......but im gittin an itch to show it off so here it is, the first model from Victory Television Company, a 15" LCD...... a better pic of the deep finish and dark color:
