The first show close to me is this weekend's Bunny Run in Jackson, TN. I won't be making it although me and Tommy Tu-Tone had planned on going.

Something real special to me came up that I just don't want to miss. This weekend our youngest daughter will be in her first "Runway Show" as a fashion model at the Southern Women's Show in Nashville.

It only seems like a few months ago that I would hear the garage door creak open and I would look up from the car and see Kellsee grinning from ear to ear standing there in her pullups. Now she's a young woman and beginning to live her dream of being a model but she will always be my "Little Buddy".

I'm very proud of her and her older sister. They've turned out to be good kids and I am still thankful each day that their Mom and them came into my life.

Don't know why I wrote this here on the HAMB. I guess because there's a lot of Dads on here and all of you understand.

Is the shotgun behind the front door yet?

Hey Poncho...as a single dad of a 7 yr old lil girl, I know what you mean buddy. Once you set eyes on her when she hits that runway you wont even think about that show. They are beautiful, good luck to her.

There will always be more shows to go to, she is only going to have that first runway walk once.
You may need to dust off the shotgun to keep the wolves away from the door now though.

    Correct choice on your part.
She will aways remember that you chose her first show over anything else that weekend.

Like the rest have said, 'wise choice'. She will always remember this show and that you were there for her.

I have 2 sons (21 & 19) and wouldn't skip one of their events for anything.

yeah family first. one of the things im grateful for is my parents were always there for me in what ever i did. it made me feel good to know they were proud of me. i do have to dis agree with the others about the shotgun behind the door. you should probably take it to the show. or at least a really big whompin stick.
