Got the roadster on the road today, drove it up and down the driveway and around the section, still needs some tuning on the injection and she sets pretty low but it has been a long time coming!

Still have a few things to do but at least I know it runs.

    Frank,
The wheels are 4-1/2 X15 fronts and 8 X18 rears with Coker Firestone dirt tires. I got the wheels from Chris at Wheel Smith in So. Cal. They are power painted the deep maroon and then a clear powder paint over that.

What's that motor? Looks complicated,LOL!!! Car looks great. She running good? Always thought it would be cool to use one of those engines that are used in Midgets. I think they are called an Ilmore. The ones that use a single 350 Chevy head.

Veddy neat! That car looks like a lot of fun :)

I hafta say, youse guys here have the coolest cars. I came in here out of curiousity a little over a year ago after a friend posted a link elsewhere about the HAMBsters and since then I have seen some of the nicest and most interesting cars I have seen in my life (and I'm a regular at car shows and cruise nights) here on this board; plus lots of great hot rod building information & opinions too.

Rex's car is an excellent example of what I'm talking about........You guys rock......

Motor is a 2 liter Ford Zetec, mine happens to be out of a 2000 ****** but it is the same motor as the Focus up until they started using the Durotec. The injection is Hilborn with electronic control, the ECU is from Lance at Pantera Inc. Cool guy. Lots of tunning to do and when you are an old "flange head" like myself doing tunning with a laptop seems kind of weird. I need to bolt the rest of the interior panels in, put in seat belts and some sort of E brake to get it street legal then down to do battle with the DMV to get a tag. Wish me luck!

I like it, man that looks like it will be fun to drive and it ought to run away and hide from the big boys.

What did you have to do to hook the engine up to rear drive?

****** is a T5 from a Turbo Thunderbird, I got the adaptor from Quad 4 out of Denver. I was lucky that the car that donated the engine was a standard shift so I used the stock pressure plate and a Center Force disk that fit the flywheel and the ******.

Once I get the engine tune right I think it will be pretty quick, I am also going to go to a set of deeper gears in the QC as with the 33 inch rear tires I have plenty of gear.
