    hey man
what the hell is this. i bought this axle a while ago and plan on running it on my hudson. and i am having a hard time finding drums/bearings that work. i was told that this is a econoline axle but i have two sets of brakes and these dont work. the bearings are too small and the spindles are a little long if all else fails i will try to get a custom bearing set, but it would probably be easier if i had i clue what it is

    thanks

Sell it and start with the more traditional front axle. Most new dropped axles are in the $200-$250 range. Not that expencive. Search for a 37-42 Ford complet front suspension. You'll get wishbones, spindles and maybe brakes.

You've got the start of a really cool sedan there. Keep it on the right track. It would take a lot of work to make that axle look good.

I agree with Clark.. That axle is not good... plus you will have an
easier time finding all the parts for it in the future without a big hunt.

The steering arm looks like a MOPAR unit...72 and earlier Dodge pickup or an A-100 van?

    hey guys

cornbread is correct. i have found pics online of it and brakes ,and all of the rebuild parts are super available. this axle is 5 inches too wide so i plan to cut 5 inches out of it and weld it back up. not all that glitters is gold. anybody can build a car out of a catalog, but this is not what rodding is all about.

    thanks
