Has anyone used this product before.Got a large jug of Talstrip II and it's the kind of stuff they use to strip all the finish off of jets.Just wondering if anyone has used it on their vehicle before.
So,respirator and gloves and some goggles...Check...Anything else I should know besides following the directions on the jug?
This is funny, I just got done using the aircraft stripper. I will say this maybe you should wear a shield. reason being I was painting it on the truck and a glob of it flipped off the brush and landed on my lip. It burnt the shit out of me and I ran in the house and put my lips under cold water for a while. So be careful with this shit.
Talstrip is my favorite. When the other brands always disapointed me, Talstrip always worked on whatever I needed to remove.
Great thing is,it was a freebie from an ex member of my club that I help out every once in a while..He knew what I was getting into,so I walked into his work to ask him for the mis matched glasspacks that he was giving me,and he had a few things ready for me to leave with.I ended up with the glasspacks, the Talstrip, some rubberized undercoating that I get the rest of after he uses it on the inside of his truck bed,a locking gas cap,and whatever I need down the line.
Back in the day, We would coat the whole car in stripper, (takes more that one person), then haul ass to the car wash ,(at night), and blow all the paint off, with the high pressure wands. It was fairly illegal at the time, and i bet it really, really is illegal today but, DAM it worked good.
Used it by the drum stripping aircraft.Foil tape over what you don't want to strip. High pressure water to remove. Works great, but I don't miss that job...
