'50 Chevy gas pedal....what parts needed?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by shifty50, Apr 13, 2008.

  1. So when I got my '50 Fleetline it wasn't all there and was just barely bolted together, blah, blah. Now that I have my engine running I need to know how the gas pedal was set up and can't find any pictures anywhere. All I have is the pedal that bolts to the floor, no linkage, I assume I'm missing a bracket and links that bolt to the firewall??

If it matters, I'm now runing a 350 instead of the stock 6, Thanks.

mine´s already modified with other gear/engine/pedals...
But, original it had a linkagerod from the pedal to the engineblock, and a new one from there to the carb.
Check , and find your:cool: online manual here : http://www.oldirononline.com/

  4. That answers my main question leaded, thanks, no need to track down original linkage. Pretty much figured I'd have to fab something like black falcon said, I was just curious what others had done.

Thanks for the link 55 dude, hadn't run across that one yet.

Flattop bob has most of the pieces you need, I just inquired about the same set up for my dad's 50 chevy from him (he was missing a few pieces but the main stuff was there) he went with an aftermarket cable set up.
