Foolish boy.....

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Ratmotor, Apr 13, 2008.

  1. Right now there is a nice 72 Chevelle sitting in front of my house. Why? The owner just got it out of storage and couldn,t resist taking it for a spin. He didn,t get far before getting nailed for no plates and no insurance....The car had an expired trip permit and lapsed insurance. Up here thats a minimum fine of $5,000.00 If you get the urge to take your project for a quick rip down the street be prepared for the consequences! I dare to think of the repercussions if he had of hit someone....

One of the nice things about living in the country, pretty easy to get away with quick trips.

Yeah. Heck, a few years ago my cousin tried dropping a 512 in his '69 Camaro and wanted to see if it was tuned well. The hood wouldn't fit, so he had that off and was running uncapped headers with a 1000hp engine. That thing was LOUD. All he did was call up one of the city cops, told him he was gonna make one p*** around town, and head home.

LOL That reminds me. Buddy of mine I went to WyoTech with was a cop first and he was telling me once about another cop trying to pull over a guy in a '69 Camaro. The guy decides to try and get away, but doesn't and finally pulls over. The cop asked him why he did that as he just wanted to see the car and now he had to give him a ticket. lol

Not sure if he was BSing or not, but same friend told us about one night speeding on the interstate in his '66 Mustang and seeing a cop trying to pull him over. He lays into it and makes it to an off ramp where a semi's parked on the shoulder. He had it timed just right that he started to circle around the truck as the cop came by on the ramp and he went back up the off ramp the wrong way and got back on the interstate and got away. Might not be true, but this guy can be a little crazy sometimes, so it wouldn't surprise me if it happened. Funny story either way.

Damn, if its a $5000 minimum fine for no plates/insurance, what do they do to the real serious criminals? Shoot them on sight? Hell if they did that in the states, maybe the traffic would thin out a bit!
