Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Django, Jan 15, 2008.

  1. Haven't loaded up yet...(fenders, hoods, bumpers, doors & extra trim) mostly 49-52 GM parts.
I'm planning a vist to the yards the weekend before...So, I might have a few more pre-war stuff?!

Is there ANYTHING happening Saturday night???

I took apart the Model A this weekend and will have lots of goodies. You can count on seeing a Model A truck grill shell, a 32 radiator, drums and backing plates (front and rear), front and rear buggy springs, dropped axle with spindles, split A bones (front and rear), banjo rear end with open drive conversion (may or may not actually be there but is for sale), headlights, various mounts (headlights, upper and lower front shocks, upper rear shocks), steering columns, F100 box, red wire wheels with wide whites (trim rings and hubcaps included), cut down S10 seat, and whatever else I can fit in the car.

    Looking forward to it!

    Very cool Lil Pete.

    Swap starts at 8am.

Here's a map in mapquest. Just input your starting address.

    mapquest directions

    or...

    Directions:

From the north - 94 south to 294 south. Take the 290 west / Lake St.(Rt20) exit, and stay in the merge lane, it becomes the Lake St.(Rt.20) exit. Take Lake St. west for about 5 miles. Turn left onto Addison Road and go a few miles. Make a right onto Factory Road. We're on the left side of the street at 59 Factory Road.
From the southeast - 94 North to 294 North. Right after the I88 / 294 / 290 merge, (that's just on the other side of I88) take 290 North/West. Take the North Ave exit and head west on North Ave (Route 64). Continue on North Ave to Addison Road and turn right. At the next light (Factory Road) turn left. We're on the left side of the street at 59 Factory Road.

From the southwest - 55East to 355North. Take the North Ave exit and turn right. Continue heading east on North Ave until you get to Addison Road. Turn left onto Addison Road. At the next light (Factory Road) turn left. We're on the left side of the street at 59 Factory Road.

Anybody know anyone from Michigan that's coming to this swap? I'm looking to do a relay on some tires. I'll help pay for some gas or something. Thanks

I was hoping that Levis-Classic would be making the pilgramage. Send him a pm.

And it's only a mile from Lake & Addison to Factory Road.

Anyone coming from North Ave. on Addison, Factory is the FIRST stop light you come to going north on Addison Rd. Make a LEFT and we're three buildings up on the LEFT. I'm sure you'll be able to find the shop. It'll be the one with all the parts in the lawn. :D

Anyone have a '86-90something junk sportster rear wheel? I need a hub.

Also need a junk (or empty) sporty motor for mockup. (Evo) Even if it's just to borrow for a month or so.

Anyone bringing a nice '40 Ford hood?

We just took out a GM 10 bolt out of a '36 Buick, and it will be for sale at Garage Days.

Hey, I can help you with your quiz. Actually, I gave a lecture to 17 graphic design majors yesterday who were in chicago for the weekend, from Freedonia NY.

  25. I'll be there around 10:00. I don't have a space, but I'll have a really really nice Lucas distributor for a Ford flathead with me in the truck if anyone's interested??? It's got an NOS never used cap on it and it's set up and ready to bolt on and run :)

Neat little event you got going there. I'll certainly be back. Didn't even know you existed until about a year ago & then today was my first visit. I was impressed & also picked up a pair of 31 Ford running board aprons that are in better shape than the ones I was going to use.

    Thanks alot.

No problem, we're always happy to host an event like this. We were talking after the swap, and I'm pretty sure we're going to have a swap meet at our summer open house the end of August as well.

You couldn't have asked for a more perfect day, and stuff people brought to sell was awesome! Thanks to everyone for making it happen!
