Buick Nailhead Dizzy?'s

    Ok helping a guy out with his buick and ran into a wall.

    Dizzy won't hold a constant dwell, so I ***ume it is worn( nothing inside is moving that isn't sposed to.
    Here is the problem It has 13 teeth on the gear and I can only find 14 teeth and the dizzy's are shorter on the new than the one in this motor.

    Any thoughts?

    What size nailhead? We can pull the dizzy out of my 56-322 and compare it?

    He could have the housing rebushed. that would take the slop out of the shaft.


    NAPA shows the bushings online. I didn't see the plate for the points but it should be available.

    Don't Know What to say about the 14 teeth.

    The va*** was connected and working correctly.
    The dizzy has 13 teeth counted like 5 times to make sure.
    And this dizzy has a longer shaft than the others we had. Owner of the car owns an ac/delco Parts store.
