Yesterday was the NNL EAST in NJ! link the the pics i took http://public.fotki.com/Keith__Shannan/keiths_model_car/model_car_shows/nnl-east-2008/ keith
Omega, are you going to the model show in Taunton?I'm missing the Fitchburg Airport show for it this year. There is only one decent model show a year.
Hey Wagon, I was there too. It was a good time...Thanks for the pics. Maybe we should have had a HAMB meet... Smokey
Did you take anything?? i took these http://public.fotki.com/Keith__Shannan/keiths_model_car/nnls-2008-cast-your/
I hadn't even paid attention to the cards enough to notioce that was a 'mint model. looks like the guy might have detailed it a bunch.
Very nice pics! Thanks for putting them in! Haven't seen Maynard Troyer's car or Shampine's in a long, long time. The dioramas looked really well done. Congrats to the builders. Youse east coast guys sure do know about rust, huh?
My start to Pure Hell I am taking a small break from the 1:1 32 Scratch Built frame Hand built radius rods early Mock up.
They could have done a little bit better on the grill shell too...and the color is a little light. I guess it's ok for a die cast.
I wish that I would have met you just to tell ya in person how cool your stuff is... No I didn't take anything. I haven't built anything in scale for a while. The last few that I built were the cartoon type stuff. Snap draggin,Deals Wheels modified of course though. Maybe next year for the open wheel, fins theme. Smokey
so who's going to the model show in taunton MA? i'll be going there, might bring a model or two with me and try to get a spot for them
I might make it there, i think my father wanted to go with me. I need to work it in my scheadule though, gonna be close! IF im there..just look for a skinny dude with long brown hair, with his hippy dad by his side. I really want to hit up the vendors, been saying that the past 3 years.
do they have vendors that sell resin bodies and parts there? we should all do a hamb meet in the lobby
61falconwagon inspired me to join in to the Sunday model stuff. I'm a Sunday models lurker until now. I started the Nova way back when the 66 Nova kit first came out. Got bored with all of the detail and it just sits now. I modified a couple 1/43 resin kits (Ford woody)just to bug a bone stock purist that was in a local model club. I found the cartoon stuff to be a blast to modify and build. The Roarin' Rail is supossed to be doin' a wheelie. I unwheelied it and have an idea to build a push car for it. My camera batteries died before I got pics of the 34 coupe kit that was built to help me deside on colors for my 1:1 coupe. Next week I'll have that up. Smokey
Yes they have a large vendor area actually. I think replica and miniatures of Maryland will be there Which means lotsa traditional resin hot rod items. But lots of folks setup there, its the best place to grab deals. (any model show)
Since the nights almost over.. i was shooting to complete this in one day..but il finish it during this week and post her done next sunday Based on Revell 64 chevy SWB c10. All acrylic craft paint, with my own rusting powders i made. Obviously far from done.. but she will be complete this week.
Eric, you slay me! I always look forward to seeing the results of your latest project! Maximum kudos to you!!!!! keep bringing em' on!!!!
Great models you guys, I wish there was a scale traditional hot rodding section here. I've just started Revell's '32 roadster kit, sadly building it without fenders is not an option, but I think it'll still look great when it's done. Is anyone going to the IPMS show at Lakeland CC this weekend?
