Don't know if your vehicle is equipped with all of these things, but here goes: Check that the choke isn't staying on or pulling on with vacuum and that it is adjusted correctly. Check heat risers on the exhaust manifolds to make sure one isn't sticking closed, check the vacuum and/or mechanical advance mechanism in the distributor for proper operation, as well as checking distributor shaft for excessive play. Check ignition timing, check for stuck EGR valve, and check entire exhaust system for any obstruction. If you do get it to idle, put a vacuum gage on it and make sure it is pulling the correct amount of vacuum at idle. If it was blowing tons of blue smoke it could be the vacuum modulator on the transmission, but if it is black smoke then most likely too much gas, not enough air, exhaust entering intake, obstructed exhaust or timing problem. You don't have anyone mad at you or jealous for any reason who would dump something in your fuel by any chance? Didn't stop at the wrong pump and top it off with diesel?
i dont think so. it's running much better after the tune up. i just have to got get a vac. gauge to set the idle mixture. will let yall know if that clears everything up.
