I currently have three days left here in Kissimmee. I am on vacation with the family. Well, I have one day to myself ( Thursday) and wanted to know if there are any local rodshops I could stop by to pick up some swag?? Any help would be great! Thanks
also if you take i-4 east to 95 north and head up the road a few minutes there is a huge harley dealer and a total performane shop. just north of daytona a few minutes
If I Had A Day To Kill,i Would Head Up To Don Garlits Museum In Ocala. Rooms Filled With Hemi's And A Lot Of Drag Race History. But I Think They Wack You 15.00 To Get In. I Can Spend Hours In There.
the museum is great about 2 hours north on 75 did you go for an airboat ride there was place in st cloud east from you on 192 almost to 95 about half from where you are and how is the olde towne cruise good luck
Last night I went to old town expecting to see a lot of old cars. There were only a few and I was under the impression that they would have shops dedicated to " back in the day" but there was only one. Oh well, not a big deal.
The cars show up on Friday and Saturday. The Friday thing is for later model cars. I think Sat is pre-70-something. If the weather is decent a couple hundred will show up, but its mostly musclecars and billet streetrodz. I second the Garlits museum.
I'll throw in a vote for the Garlits museum too. We went last December and it's definitely worth the drive and the price of admission!
Oh shoot, Wolfman's was hot rod shop, it was a neat place but the owner was an ***hole, they charged $5 for a tour.
I was at the Garlits museum during billetproof, and would love to go back. Looking at the pictures I took I see more stuff I would like to look at closer.
Another vote for the Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing. HOURS worth on fun. Plan to be there at least 2-3 hours. Take lots of photos, tell them you want to come back for Billetproof Florida 2009
I would definitly put Garlits at the top, but if you wanted to go up I4 to Daytona there is Docs rod shop http://daytonasp.com/index.shtml also off I95 is destination Daytona, the harley shop that has a total performance botique shop that someone already mentioned, but the real shop is about 1 mile east off the same road. Then off the I95 & 92 intersection in Daytona is the track, and Kers WINGHOUSE Mike
There is also Hercules motor co. in Tampa if woodies are your thing. http://www.herculesmotorcarco.com/
