Hey guys, I just found this forum and thought I would check it out.

I am currently building my first hot rod, it is a 71 f100. My truck is kinda falling between the cracks so to speak, it is not ratty, nor is it a show queen. I am trying to keep it old school in both the appearance and how i build it. I refer to this type of build as Greasy, thus the name Greasy 71.

I look forward to hearing from ya'll and getting your input.

    Here she is...

Alright you ass clowns, you preach about being traditional, how much more traditional can you be than a white ford pickup. Powered by apple pie, fueled by kentucky burboun, and tailed by 8 God fearin feet of cargo space. So get out of my part chasers way, that angry face in your $150.00, after market reproduction rear view mirror is mine!

To be honest with you, .... you can be allot more traditional, and I mean allot. (for Christ sake my gardner drives the same work truck)
You have a nice old truck, nothing more nothing less. But your on the wrong message board. This place is for people with a passion for vintage tin (1964 & Older) with that said I would still rather see your truck on the street than a mini van. and on the H.A.M.B. it's a tradition to brake the ball's of the FNG's (fucking new guys) so if you have thin skin, your once again in the wrong place. If I where you I would head out to long beach or Pomona this Sunday and buy something that starts a REAL hot rod project. Then start posting you questions & progress.

Remember most people on here have more rust in my blood than you do on you truck.

Then bustin' balls it shall be.

The way you tell it, you have so much rust in your veins that even your gardener has a bitchin ride. You bleed 10w 40 and pee 110 octane.

Now go break out the check book, Mr. Graphics Coordinator, and start cutting checks for the guys who do the work on you car. try not to spill your Starbucks on the interior when pulling it back into the garage.

LOL Greasy, you're a real classy guy.

Do the Duke boys know you stole Uncle Jesse's truck?

You are free to stay or leave - but we're not here to talk about 71 F100s.
