I've decided to run F100 steering in my 30' coupe and was wondering what year box to look for. Any other opinions on steering please post. Always open to info. and suggestions.

I will be using a model a frame. Are 53'-56' boxes all the same?

i think the 56s have the shortest shaft as they had a dished steering wheel. 53-54-55 had flat steering wheels.

The later 53-56 have a larger mounting flange. Using in a A frame ya got to do some triming. The 48-52 boxes are a better deal there. Also the pitman arm attaching to sector shaft is different on the latter ones if my feebble mind remembers right.

I'm running a 57 ford box in my T coupe, very similar to the 56 box... it would probably fit the same?

On my Model A framed 28 I used a 48 f 1 box. With some t******* it fit nice and works good. A later f100 box is bigger and fits a 32.33.34.better. But if it works for you, try it.
