So quit having the last word, sit back and let this thread burn out.
As far as your fake patina. Have some decals made of your logo cut and weeded in reverse. Put on the truck and gently fog some white or wutever color you want it in. Dont paint it so brite or solid just kinda splotchy then fog some black or a darker color over it once again kinda splotchy and inconsistant. Remove the mask if its to brite or solid gently hit it with some scotchbrite. there are now rules use your imagination.
    NOW GO AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does this mean its all over? Well it was good while it lasted. Any of that popcorn left? I'm hungry. I prefer rattle can techniques. Here's a good question, though, if the patina is fake, but you never tell anyone, and they think it is real, is that morally okay? I personally can tell a fake from a mile away, but I've seen every attempt in the book, the average dude (none of you of course) wouldn't know otherwise. I'm really in this to fool the unknowing, but don't tell anyone.

Thats because you aren't building one of the "the rat trucks I see on here"

Whats funny about this thread is I'M kinda new here and did a search for some info about my car and welding sheet metal . While re-doing rear quarters is the same on every car they are are also very different because every car has it's own personal issues. Not to mention my car is a 65 so its right on the border of Off Topic. SO i went along and searched and read what i could that was related but still didn't get the answer i was looking for.

Alone in front of my computer i was , trying to word my question as not to offend anyone while qualifying it with " I DID A SEARCH" etc etc ..........

Hit the post ****on fearing that something like this thread didn't happen to me because sometimes i have seen people be hard on newbies...

    Well funny thread though.

Ever heard of a HOT ROD?

There is a general theme a**** "rat rods" of being built as ****ty as possible (and often unsafe as well - VERY UNSAFE). **** for ****'s sake is still ****.

Welcome aboard. The true test will be the question you ask tomorrow

I like to think I have a hot rod, but it really is nothing hot, nor is it a rod. Its just a car, man, who cares what its called.

Here's some more free advice for you...Don't ask for help naming your car club. That would really get ugly! You got off easy, check out this thread when you have a few free hours to waste:;)

by the way, not that it matters, but if you use Mozilla Firefox, it will correct your spelling like microsoft word. You'll never have to worry again.
