What Kind of truck

On my daily drive i see an old truck and i want to no what kind of truck it is. It looks like a late 30's or 40's truck. Heres the thing that throws me off the rear window is split what kind of truck is this???

I have visions of one of these trucks done up custom style. Chopped, lowered, complete face lift with a 50ish Buick grill, skirts, hell, maybe even fade-away fenders. Somebody ought to build one. My signature says it all.
