Hey, Thursday's my day to go, sunshine or I'll be buying blue tarps!. Anybody else going? Are we meeting at the grandstand-east end at 1PM?
I skip the spring/fall shows - too many arts/crafts **** and I don't own a tri five chevy. I will be at the hershey show in october though.
I'm on the road, bringing a car back from Fla, and can only do Saturday. Have no idea what time I'll get there, but will try to make it very early, to miss traffic.
unfortunatly carlisle is not the same anymore. too many Chinese tool vendors and like said before, tri-five parts. I usually hit the back hills first as thats the easiest place to find the good stuff
i'll be there monday to sunday J-93 to J-96 free cookout friday at 7:00 you'all are welcome, cadillac dave , one of the original carlisle venders.
I too had lost faith in Carlisle. I've had pretty good luck the past couple of years. You do have to walk past a lot of junk to see some good stuff. Nothing like Hershey!!!! I'll be there thursday. Clark
True, it isn't what it was, but it's still worth a visit. It is acres of cars and parts, a**** the Chinese tools and "what is this doing at a car show" booths" and it's the first big show of spring and I am antsy. Plus. the hot sausage sandwiches are always good and it is a LOT better since they banned all the golf carts except those for disabled folks. Like lots of swap meets, there's no "best" day. Most of the stuff is there early, but the deals get better as Sunday approaches. I bought my Model A on Sunday for quite a bit off since the guy didn't want to haul it home. Sort of depends on weather and when you can get off work as to when you go. I'll be at the grandstand at one PM the the left hand side facing it. If you're there, see you there.
I prefer the early approach. If you can only be there one day, definitely don't bother with Sunday, as most of the vendors are gone by Saturday night.
Having gone many years in a row...I just might miss this year. Last year there was more vacancy than ever, coupled with more "space for sale" signs than ever. Combine everything, and I'd say fairly comfortably that it is declining at a fairly quick pace. Of course, Carlsile Productions keeps their fees on the increase to cover their interests! Imagine that!
ill be there thursday. really excited. ill be there looking for parts to get my 52 chevy goin. see you there!!
Carlisle meet and greet. All days at 1:00 Grandstand seats ( left side when facing grandstand) About half way up seats. I blew up a copy of my alliance tag( I'll put it up as a sign on Thursday and let it there for the weekend) Smokey
