I was just wondering if anyone has used, or seen a rod built from a B-model Mack cab? They are about the same size as a late 30's or early 40's truck cab. I know where there are 3 of them that may get crushed. If anybody got one, post some pics. Benny

Yes, and typically done by people with apparently pretty poor taste in the vein of old semi turned pickup. Do a google search. I am sure it won't be too hard to find examples of such. The Mack's are a popular target for that. Not that something like what you are suggesting couldn't be done with decent results in the right hands, but I have only seen bad in my opinion, usually real bad - pickup size wheels look to small for the cabs, way too much chrome and cheesy way over sized smoke stacks and usually a very mis-matched bed off some 80's pickup and bad mud flaps and too many lights too usually.

ok, here's one and by far not the worst I've seen (this one is way more tasteful than others I have seen):

Your premise is not a totally wacky idea, but need to stay away from the mini semi thing. Maybe fenderless might help and just use the cab with a small bed of some sort.

Yes,I thinking fenderless. Building it the same as a Ford, Chevy, etc, pickup using just the cab of the Mack. You could use some of grill shells, but they would need to be cut down. Although now that you mention it, I do recall one few years back that was put on a ford ton dually frame, with the dually bed, that didn't look too bad. I think I may do measuring this weekend to see how it compares in size to my brothers 38 ford pickup. Benny
