I guess you're talking to me, but I'm not in Kansas. They ought to pour cement on Kansas and make a parking lot out of it.

Haven't been to the show in Portland since about '71. I make it out to the NW about every year or two my kid is still out there. From here to Portland across I 80 then up through Idaho and down the Gorge is about the quickest way.

There are a lot of new "Hot Rodders" on here that I wouldn't give the time of day, but I can vouch for a good portion of the old timers not a plastic one in the bunch, they are as real as the day is long. If any one of us calls you a richard cranium we mean it and speaking face to face is a whole lot easier than typeing.

Anyway next time I'm p***ing through I'll look you up we'll grab a burger or something.

Located on a two lane road going north on the very eastern side of the state. Kinda northeast of Salt Lake City, spent that night in Jackson Hole, WY so that gives ya an idea of around where.

Tell me about it, snow level around 1000- 1200 feet and Grants P*** is 900ish. But I won't have to worry as the plane leaves in 4 hours for sunny southern cal. Then tomorrow I board the ship for Mexico!!!!! That reminds me, time to head for home. Bye all, and I will be looking for this thread when I get back on the 27th. (If I can manage to make it back, might like it down there.)

 

Ya, that's what I'd be afraid of, I might just go to mexico/panama and ne'er return. Though, I'd hit up the desert. I liked Puerto Penasco, just below phoenix, I believe. It was great, really felt like a movie set in old mexico, except for the huge resort 2 miles down the road

Now, let me explain ... I'm a new guy here and I finally got a chance to get into this old car hobby (obsession, insanity?) so I bought me this old Plymouth. It's got red wheels. It's painted flat black (previous owner told me it was Krylon BBQ paint. I'm using Mexican Blankets to hid the fact the seats don't match while I try to find an appropriate bench seat (you don't wanna know what the previous owner did with the original seat nor what he replaced it with, that's why they're covered). And last ... there IS a SKULL hanging from the mirror. I put it there for a Halloween show this past year and just haven't managed to take it off.

I'm kinda new to the old car thing. Got into cars in high school. Other things took priority after college. Eventually, I ended up building cars for a living but NOT the cool way; on an ***embly line at GM. Let me tell you, THAT was a ****-nuts job. I've been a reader all my life but I don't have a lot of hands-on with the old iron. That's why I'm here ... I was told that the experts here would be glad to help. Right now, I'm learning (mostly what topics to tread lightly around)
