So for the last six months iv been walking buy a trailer full of model-a & T parts so i finaly asked the guy how much he wanted for the ol 28-29 cowl and suprised he gave me a great deal. said he found it in the back of an old delivery truck and just threw it out there to see if people wanted it. guess alot of people didnt bother asking figuring the price would be too high. well sometimes you just gotta ask i guess.

no rust out and the interior of the tank is perfect.

For the love of pete..... you guys would give C.S.I. a run for their money. I can't even tell the manf. and year let alone how many doors a cowl had on it. Amazing. What are the hot spots on this one in particular that tell you the year and doors?

  7. the firewall is one clue

  8. Pull that 28,29 tank out and check its condition!? Yes, it is an early tank they used UNDER the 4 dr cowl. That is how they were produced.

The best tanks come out of 4 doors if the cowl wasn't upside down. I used a 4 door cowl on my phantom rpu. Kind of like a poor boys 32.

You are correct it is a 28-29 Briggs Fordoor cowl. Pull the tank to be sure the seams aren't rusty. You need to remone that 3 inch tall filler in the firewall and undo the pinch clamps so it can drop down and out. If you got a good deal on it how about going back for more stuff?

would but just a pile of fenders and acouple beat up doors. there is a real nice 26-27 tall T cowl with posts i think he wants 150 for that one.
