changed the axle out in the willys today, from a early chey I beam to a new tube straight axle, looks better handles better as well i m sure. now it has 10 degrees caster instead of the original 2.5 it had with the I beam. enjoy
Love those "late model" Willys...So much cool stuff being built nowdays... Please update us as soon as you get back to the track. What spring/shock set-up did you use?
i had a 52 chevy pickup axle under it and the springs are from that all new but for that application and the original shock mounts as well with new monroe shocks. coil over and ladder bar rear...
Love your '52. I have a '54 I am in the process of building. Identical body style. It was sold as a '54, but research revealed that it is a factory re-serialed '53. I have a little over 1800 hours in mine now. Complete drive train is in (crate 350 with modifications, Borg-Warner 10). Ready for paint. I would like to see some more photos of yours. Car looks great.
I have a ton of pics of the build, send me a pm with amail addy and ill send some to you tonight, sam
Ross said something 'bout that this afternoon at the club meeting. Nice. The story 'bout somebody sitting so low in their car they almost ran over a rear engined rail was funny.
that would be my other car the chevy II, we raised the seat fri in it and now it is like a normal car... should be able to see much better, just not look as cool doing it hehe...
