I can't verify their patch panels, but I've had nothing but positive experiences with them in the past ... although now that I think about it, their door seals for my econoline were a complete joke, according to me and every other unfortunate who tried to install them.
Mac's has been doing it forever and I have had all good experience with them. Everything shown in the catalogue isn't available due to out of production or availability. They don't print new catalogue every year to save overhead cost but are honest to deal with.
I have dealt a lot with Mac's and have always recieved great service and great products. I have not purchase patch panels from them. Mike
damn, i hadn't heard that. what issues were there? i'm impatiently waiting for a large order of rubber for my econo from them.
Got the patch panels for my Model A from Battlefield Model A parts last year at Pe*** Jean Swap meet. But as far as service from Mac's, all my experiences have been good...
IMO, Mac's customer support is great, had an issue with a temp gauge not working out of the box, they sent me a replacement right away.
Like the others, I haven't got patch panels from Mac's but everything else has been a very positive experience-including bringing my over-sized parts to a show so I could pick them up for free. I did get a trunk inner panel from them that required a bit of t******* to fit, but myA has been previously reworked so I don't know if it was the panel or the car. No big deal, though. The SS bumper I bought was the cat's meow.l
I've never bought patch panels from them, but I have been ordering parts from them for years. Always good stuff, good service and good prices.
I find that all the Model A guys-Mac's,Bratton's, Tams, Sacramento Vintage Ford, etc. are all about the same. A little bit here lower, a bit higher there. Probably all the same suppliers. Pick one with the best shipping-Mac's will bring it to a show they do for free.
I have had nothing but good to say about them. One thing on any sheetmetal you buy, it will take some work to get it right. I haven't been lucky enough to get a piece of stamped metal that didn't need some adjustment. I bought some electrical stuff from them too for my '65 Galaxie and the truck, they were good to work with, and delivery was prompt.
I,ve heard nothing but good from MACs. Howell sheetmetal out of Texas is another source, got some door sills for my T modified from them, fit nice.
Great service from MACs here too. If you get on their e-mail mailing list they will give you on-line discounts. This month its 5% off orders of $100 or more. Sometimes its 10% off interior kits or whatever. You just have to enter your customer number in the appropriate place when you place an order on-line. Hope it saves you a few bucks. Tom
