As some of you know from back at the day of the drags I had set a goal to get the 53 into the 11's. well it happened friday night. I made about 7 p***es and finally with removing the rear seat it went 11.96 @ 113 mph. Not too bad for a car driven between 150-and 200 miles per week.
Big *** more door with the aerodynamics of a barn door and yer scootin in the 11's Bro thats BAAAD AA***S!

That's cool as hell! BTW, did they boot you off the track after that p***, or am I missing the roll bar in the pic? Don't you need 4 point or something when your faster than 12.0?
about a year ago or so nhra changed the rules. 11.5 or faster you have to have 6 point cage, fire jacket and 5 point harness
You da man Ray .I am glad you did 11's ,thats very impressive for that big old Chevy.Most guys have to have a gutted coupe to turn those numbers without a blower .About the only thing left to do now is switch to the stick shift you were talking about and powershift that thing to an 11 .You will be a legend if you can pull it off ,good luck .BTW your 53 looks awesome on those pics launching hard...
haha.. looking at the tach and thinking the rev limiter was gonna come on.. its like a jack in the box still scares me when it happens.
