Just carved my first shift knob what do you think?

    [​IMG]Was playing around with some spalted maple and carved out this shift knob. Just thought I would share a picture of it.

    I like it, great job. The real ? is does it feel good in the shifting hand? lol :)

    that's totally cool.
    you are a talented wood carver my friend.
    the maple should wear really nice once it gets used and abused for awhile.

    Thanks! Might put it in my 48 GMC panel truck. Took a few days to carve. Working here and there.

    Carved as in hand carved,or sculpted using power tools?
    That maple stuff is as hard as a rock ,isn,t it?
