I think the LaSalle's are great cars, I'll be building a 1937 LaSalle coupe for a customer from germany. It will be getting a 509cid caddy big block engine, I didn't want to out a SBC in a LaSalle/Caddy built car. This one won't be getting a chop either.

Yours is looking good, can't wait to see it done. Is you stock engine in running condition, what will you be doing with it?

Looks like a very nice start to a beautiful car. Someone above was posting about Sombrero caps, etc., I think keeping it all Caddy would be sweet. Like if someone owned this car in the 50's and really loved it and just wanted to keep it updated.

No caddy flathead? I think those motors look so cool with the headers wrap around the top. If no flathead, then what are the plans for the drivetrain?

    Exactly. All Cadillac for sure.

Westergard Style is what I have been thinking too. When you ask the 'Legends of Kustoms', they all say he was the one of the best. I tried to make the '57 traditional for that time period....ok, after I took off the 20s.

I want more horsepower since I will be driving the hell out of this one too. Also, there is so much room under the hood. I want to put a 390 or 472 but with a traditional intake, something cool.

  15. This will be such a nice car. I want a taildragger so bad...

Now thats something your gonna have to think about Brian. That offer may sway your decision.

  21. A subtle chop could really look good. Here are a few pics of a nicely done Buick. (Pics are stolen from here, but I can´t remember from who!)

Can´t help thinking your car would look nice with some belt line chrome on it.

It's definately in the plans. A couple of the coupes ive seen have nice pieces that would fit well. I think the early Cadillac Coupes do.
