Thunderbird guys FYI/rant

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by First On Race Day, Apr 17, 2008.

  1. I just returned my front shocks, front and rear leaf bushings, front shock bushings, shackles and back up lenses that I got from Thunderbird Headquarters for 392.02  Needless to say both shocks had new threads welded on but come to find out upon installation that one shock had corse threads one had fine!? Ok whatever they screwed up. Take out one leaf check my box to make sure all the bushings i need are in there  only two out of the four I paid for are in there:mad: two out of the four front bushings aren't there cause the clerk wasn't educated enough to tell me I needed two more bushings (also a little my fault) rear shackles come with bushings and dumb*** sold me a whole set with my shackles. So anyway called Nicks Tbirds and got all the same **** plus sway bar bushing for 180 bucks!! Hell yeah so the point here is buy from Nick not TbirdHQ and always check you parts before you leave the store!
    Have a wonderful weekend

Struts...Leafs... I am confused...what are we talking about?

Are we talking an 1980-96 bird here, or a 1955-1966?

[EDIT] Oh I see his profile...guys, he has a 1964 Thunderbird...

    NO STRUTS!!!!

Do you have a link to Nicks?

Also can anyone point me towards a
    1964 TBird front end diagram?

I have a 63 T-Bird. I have gotten excellent service from Nicks. Never dealt with T-Bird HQ.

I've dealt with TBHQ for small items.
I've had good luck so far.
I'm not too far from them so I can make sure I have all I need before I leave.

Now if someone would only repro '61 door panels in Red...

That's not how his original post was worded...he used the word "strut" in place of the word "shock". He's since edited his post so it's not confusing anymore. ;)
