I hope I can explain this well enough. I'm looking for a fastener where the male part kind of looks like a spade, and it just presses into a spring plate. Does anyone know what the hell I'm talking about, what it's called, or where I can get some?
No, not Dzuz fasteners. They don't turn you just push them together and pull them apart. The male part kinda looks like this
I know exactly what you are talking about. We use tons of them at work. We buy everything at MSC so these are probably exactly the ones we buy: MSC catalog page 2083 at the bottom, www.mscdirect.com Edit: never mind after your second description, these aren't it.
No, not like that either, I want to leave it in permenently. It's kind of like an old car hood latch but without the latching part, or the spring on the male end, just pressure fit. Get it?
Not very big, I want to use a couple to attach the seat pan of my motorcycle to the seat springs. I put this on the jockey journal, but put it here too, I figured someone on here might know.
Did I stump the board with this one? I know I have seen this type of clip or whatever on something, I just can't remember what.
Those are discussed in Carroll Smith's racecar fastener book...can't remember their name. Essentially same type of use as a Dzus.
