My neighbor has a 63 lincoln, 2dr hardtop, The body is super solid, The original paint still has some shine (Great driver quality) It is dark green, with the black vinyl top peeling off. No engine (was a big block) But it has a clear title. Interior is near perfect. I asked him what he is doing with it, He said he could make about $500 in scrap off of the huge boat:eek:. So needless to say, it's comming home with me:D, it's basicly an engine drop and drive, it looks THAT good! I think I just got lucky........

I'm liking the dark green, and the paint is REALLY good on this one, I'll probibly just redo the vinyl top. as for wheels I'm thinking of some cool custom hubcaps, and skinny whites. Just a few mild touches.

The coupes were made from 1966 to 1969. The '66 &'67 look like the picture above. There were numerous trim changes made to the '68 & '69 models because of lighting requirements.

  8. Old post I know but I just bought a 68 2 dr. Continental with 70,000 original miles and all black interior (perfect, not a single rip, hole or worn spot in the headliner, seats carpet or anything. The paint is silver and all original wheels with 642. The thing drives awesome and I bought it in Matthews, NC for a unbelievable price off 51 and Mattews Township.
I actually just blew a tire (front) doing 65 MPH on the freeway. Almost crashed the thing into a wall but saved it. Didn't do any damage suprizingly but the rocker drug the ground. Rocker is fine though, these things are bullet proof.
One thing to find out is if it had the 462 or 460. There is a lot to change if it had the 462 in it and most likely you will want a 460. I am not sure where to find a 462 at around here.

if it's indeed a '63, it would have the 430 in it. these are tougher motors to find. if you wanna take a road trip to california, i saw a core 430 motor on craigslist a while back for $50 bucks :D

i have a '62 Convertible. That's the car i've kept the longest and never will part with...
