A great show is a great show no matter what the name. I've been for the past three years and will go every time if I can help it. I have met some stand up people and watched some great races at these shows. If the name keeps you from going to, then I guess you are just too cool for us low lifes anyway. I'm always up for a little action and I had a blast last year and have been looking forward to this weekend for a long time. Had a good time hanging out with Ratster and Reggie (Organ Grinder) this past weekend and we should have a real great time this weekend in our whatever you wanna call'ems. I like to call mine a "HOT RAT ROD" .
The cars look pretty damn cool to me!! But I admit the name really ****s. They need a more crowd pleasing, non-offensive name. Unfortunately, ******* Redneck Nationals is already taken. Maybe next year they can get a name that won't be so offending and or they can just call it the Seymour Hot Rod Reunion formerly known as the Rat Rod Rumble. My BIL, (deceased now), was from Sevierville, very cool place with very cool people, as long as you didn't have the appearance of a revenuer.

Anyone who thinks the name of the event doesn't matter in promoting a sucessful and growing event is just fooling themselves. One of the main feature of this event is the cool drag racing. The name does not reflect that at all, not even a hint.
I doubt we will be back for the breakfast, I think we are staying at Dan's Saturday night. He is the one putting the show on, and has made the offer to let people camp or sleep in their cars or whatever at his shop Saturday night. He is really appreciative of anybody that is coming, even though it is a one day show. He is a real stand up guy. Cheers, Troy rustynutscc.com

Sorry man, the show was yesterday. I I would have known sooner, we could have tried to get together. Maybe next show. The show was a great one as usual, bigger than ever. It was such a good turnout, Dan said he was going to do it next year bigger than ever. Hopefully, Friday night camping at the track, all day drags (no local test and tune), and Saturday night camping. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for all of this to work out. We will see. Hey fellas, man i had a great time at "the rumble" it was my third and every time we go its a blast. hopefully next year I can beat on my falcon down there. Some year I would love to check it out. Tingler you know I love that part of the country, Id be living there right know if I could ! But the NAME ****s! To me when Hot rodders call ther cars Rat rods or people call are cars rat rods ...it feels to me to be degrading and derogatory, and I think that's how most of us on here feel...so don't get so defensive its not blasting you, the cars or the show ...just the name .
