its was a decent show overall, worth the price to see what it takes to be a winner in Detroit.

Ya think? How many SBC cars can a guy look at? It was fun because it was a "CAR" show, But so many Nice Rides with the same old motors. Billet, Jegs, Summit small blocks. Arrrggg... It was a very quiet show also. Did ya notice? Attendance way down. Maybe the weather. Lotsa Street Rods and very little traditional stuff. The GTX straight axle Street Freak was cool. Ewing's truck was *****in. We were really hoping for more, and give it a 5 outta 10 score. But glad you enjoyed it.

BooneS! I've been wondering what you've been up to.

Hope all is going well. Looked like a great show. Ya - that red 36 is bad ***!! I have a magazine with that car in it. I love it.

I'd take the Bo Jones modified over that '36 anyday.

Yes that is a *****in little modified. Of course you are sort of partial to those modifieds aren't ya.

I think you'd scare more people in a menacing way in the 36! That is what hot rods are for right?

I walked around the Bo Jones modified for a 6 months while it sat in Boyd Coddington's shop. He had it & a black Dodge modified at the same time. One of the best things I brought home from that shop was a love for one-man modifieds.

That '36 is pretty... like a street rod should be. That car isn't scaring anyone. :p

Have you ever seen the gas & brake pedals in that '36? They are 15" off the damn floor. How anyone drives it is beyond me.

I will admit there is a bunch of sbc and billet. but I guess i have gotten numb over that and rarely do I even look at an engine at these type of shows (would rather see the hoods shut unless there is somethng outstanding underneath. I like to go and look for the little details. fabrication stuff. such as the taillights on the aqua PU I first show. and to look at the overall 10' view of the car.. does it flow. the red 36 was cool but the grill choice could have been better.

    the modified was *****en...

I don't know, I see a lot of car show coverage and the thrust of the pictures are geared towards the BS scenester cars. I'm sure as a GENERAL style of car show there is a lot of the usual catalog ****, but the ones that Ken has shown are super nice, our PHOENIX World or Wheels blows in comparison, as the catalog **** is almost ALL there is.

I thought that modified was a Bo Jones-esque car. That IS the car?! NICE.

Oh, that '30 rpu is outstanding!!

    You could be correct.

It does look very fresh. The color looks deeper too. Of course, that could be the lighting.
