Anybody know where the car went to? Tim, please tell us it's not in some shipping container bound for Europe or Japan. Oh, and if the deal falls through, PM me. I may have to liquidate a few things but it would be worth it. Don.
Wednesday night update..... Black Bomber is still in my shop for now, not paid for yet. We shall see. The winner wants me to store it for a bit, I am more than happy to oblige, as long as funds arrive. I am clearing out a few of my cars in hopes of paying off the old mortgage. Sick of house payments! But I have some big plans if I can pull it off. Watch for more on the block in the weeks to come. A couple A roadsters, maybe my '29 coupe. '27 A roadster on '32 rails, '32 sedan, a complete '34 chassis, a complete '36 chassis etc. Just way too much stuff I don't have time to enjoy, and I am feeling a bit like a hoarder. I don't want to be some crusty old f@@k like we all read about that died with lots of wasted iron hidden and wasting away. Maybe someone will have fun with them, and you will see them join and contribute to the HAMB - if they aren't here already. Recieved some awesome pm's and emails from fellow HAMB'rs and I gotta say it's pretty cool. I never really knew how many people even knew about the car. I have made lots of good friends through the HAMB and will continue to do same I hope. I am beyond sad about it, but man what a great thing it will be to make that last check out. I am building a '31 Roadster WW2 era. I call it Tribute, in honor of my pop who fought for our country in that war. It should be as cool, I hope. It's been stillborn for about the last two years. I will start posting pics as I get back to it, as well as my '36 tail dragger. Sometimes we gotta do what we gotta do. Tim
Thanks for the update, Tim. I know from your bio that you've got some great stuff sittin' around there. Good luck with the plan to pay off the mortgage. I did it a few years ago and it is a huge burden off your shoulders. Also best of good fortune with the '31 Roadster build-up "Tribute". If it turns out half as nice as the Black Bomber Coupe it will be a beautiful ride.......Let me know if the winner of the auction goofs on you. It's a long way from my house to McMinnville, Oregon but I think I could find it.....Don.
Hey Tim....congrats on the sell...I must say I was sad to see it on ebay...good chatting with you and can't wait to see your next project..take care
O Tim why pick that one. I really liked that one from the first time CH took me to Curts to see it. It was not done yet but it had the look.
Well...... something had to go. 7 Model A's, gotta thin the herd!! Need to get it down to a coupe and a roadster, well maybe two roadsters.... Tribute will be as cool I think. You'll like it Steve!
How often do you ever see a car that you wouldn't change anything if you owned it ?....for me , it's almost never....I saw that coupe at a Goodguys event in Washington....It blew my mind....I looked at it for an hour, then sat on a bench across from it, and stared at it some more......I couldn't think of anything I would change.....I couldn't personalize it.....It would always be Tim's car.......
Awright Tim..... we have another WINNAH! hows about showing what else ya got?.....just purely to satisfy my burning desire....
Thank you Jeff! I don't have a lot of pics of my other stuff, but will take some and post as I go. Having more room to work in and play with stuff is gonna be pretty cool!! Tim :-
