I went Saturdat too. Just picked up an service manual for my 53 Cranbrook and some cut off wheels. It was my first time there and it was huge. The 3 hour drive from Northern New Jersey ****ed!. I think We'll get a room close by so we have more time to walk it.

I always go to Carlisle to get socks from the sock guy opposite the food court! This year I couldn't buy any as my dresser is full to the brim. Damn, now what am I going to do in the fall?

I did buy a GPS system for $78 which I am going to use in my Dodge convert as the speedo ****ped out and the GPS includes a bug nuts accurate speedo. Works for me, even though it ain't traditional. And, when I'm lost somewheere in the boondocks looking for tin I can use it to find my way back to civilization.

Also, got a 3/8" ratchet that I'll throw in the box with the rest of the 3/8" ratchets. I liked the look and feel of it. Had to have it, you know the story. Got my new issue of Hop Up and a book on El Mirage, ate some Carlisle Chiken Corn Noodle soup and some Hershey's ice cream, walked to my feet screamed and then walked some more. Talked to a zillion people that I hadn't seen since last year and lots I had seen the previous week.

All in all, a fabulous time and one that, as I get older than I already am, I can't wait to get here. A true right of spring for us Northeasterners!

Found two Powerglide Shifters including a 63-64 SS console. A real nice pair of Cal-Custom SBC valve covers. One guy had boxes and boxes of NOS electrical and brake parts for $1 per box. Got some NOS gauge light pig tails.

I got some license plates from the few states I am missing to pl;aster my garage wall, some SS acorn nuts for my fender brackets I couldn't find locally, some good magazines, some great ideas for projects, some measurements I needed for my car, fuel line for the lawn mower, a great nap in the grandstand, a wonderful day with the woman I love and a fantastic dinner at the Indian Restaurant in Harrisburg. That was the deal of the day-we had a two for one coupon and, since their liquor license wasn't renewing until this week, the drinks were on the house! Full course dinner, appetizers and drinks for $21!. I was haoppy with the whole trip.

Those big pretzels are the best! I picked up a few re-stock items for the garage-bulbs, fuses, cookies, welding magnets, panel clips, etc. A day with my Dad and Brother and nice weather is why I keep going back and will for years to come.

I went there looking for a good p***enger side fender for my 40 dodge, found only plymouth stuff. I almost picked up a bead roller from Woodward Fabricating, got talked out of it. I picked up Mad Fabricators 3&4 and a nice tin sign for in the garage. Saturdays are really beggining to ****, alot of people were packing up and leaving before 2. I guess I'll have to start going down friday's now. later shawn

i got there monday, picked up a n.o.s. in the box delco battery sign, die cut porcelian with wall bracket. not cheap but unbelievably pretty. didn't find much else that caught my eye. did get to talk with Al Knock about the patterns for my new interior on my 53 ford. he started out doing customs before making corvette interiors. and his product is top notch stuff. then the best purchase of all...three cases of molson ice from the local beer distributor.....had a great time. we had our cookout friday at 7:00 , had a good crowd. this is the first year since 1974 that i didn't buy a car, just didn't see any deals that i liked. cadillac dave
