Help identifying MODEL A wheels ??

OK, so I bought these wheels from a farmer (barn find) and he tells me these are Model A wheels. I got six of them from him but of the SIX I only have them matching in PAIRS.

The sizes are throwing me off as are the bolt patterns. Can anyone shed some light on these for me.

I have TWO that measure 4 1/4" x 19 1/4" 6 BOLT at 2 3/4" center to center.



Then I have TWO measuring 4 1/2" x 18 1/2" 5 BOLT 3 1/4" center to center

and then I have these TWO 5" x 17 1/2" 5 BOLT 3 1/4" center to center



and finally .. before I go to the trouble of prepping these .. after removing the tires and tubes on a few I found the metal as seen below ... can these be used / repaired / or trashed ?? Any and all opinions are GALDLY welcomed for this GREENhorn ~~ !!

 

First wheel looks like chevy. The second looks like 35 ford.

 

'35 Ford wheels are 16". Maybe '33-34. Certainly neither of the wheels pictured are Model A.

The 18" ones (not shown) could be '32 Ford.

 

The tire bead diameter is 16" the rim flange is larger, are you measuring the bead diameter or the overall flange diameter?

 

All model A wheels had the bolts outside the hubcaps, not under them as these are. They may well have been on model A's, except for the '30 Chev 6 bolt ones. Many were sold to upgrade the rolling stock to more modern sizes. That's why there are so many 16" Kelseys around, 'way more than ever were on '35 Fords.

 

All of the wheels were measured flange to flange .... All of which doesn't really matter if the shape they are in is SOOOOO questionable in the safety department. LOL ,,, like running an open drive shaft isn't unsafe ....

Maybe I should look for another pair of 4.5" 19's or ??

 

I would say that looking at the last picture, you've got some yard art there. If you are looking for stock Model A 19" wheels, they are everywhere for little money and in better shape.

 

Not necessarily needing Model A ... my body is a 35 Ford Pickup .. frame is from scratch and loooowwwwwww .. I just like the look of those 16" plus wheels and narrrrooooowww tires.

Maybe something in the artillery style wheel might be a better fit !!! Anyone got something for sale ??? LOL !!
