Hey there everyone! I have been reading the journal and hamb for some time now and felt it was finally time to jump in and get my feet wet. I have a 32 Ford Coupe project that I've had for a very, very long time and have just recently began working on it in earnest to get it running. I live in the Midwest, near Chicago, IL so there is limited time to work comfortably on the hot rod. My coupe currently has a small block chevy in front of a stock saginaw 4-speed, 57 chevy posi rear. The body is real steel and never been cut (but plans are to chop severly, maybe 5-6 inches). I'll probably be visiting the hamb cl***ifieds alot and I look forward to talking and reading from the forum in the future.
congrats on finally joining. and maybe you can attend some meets this summer and show us photos or you can post them up here to tease us till its done!!! definately post photos. well finally Welcome from a fellow midwest-er.
Welcome, search sw chicago HAMB and eggs thread, Join us for breakfast, Great group. good food. Not too far from Addison.
New guy from Michigan, I also have a 32 five window. I am in the process of chopping the car 2 inches. I am re-doing the car, the reason being is that it has a lot of road rash. The car was originaly done way back in 1971 and has been on the road ever since. The car is all steel, I have pictures of the frame which is finished, and moving on to the body, hope to have the car done this year some time.
I know of your shop on factory rd. I visited the shop when it was located on addison road. That was awhile ago. I believe the owner's name was kevin? He was very cool...gave me the nickel tour of the shop. Everything was still in boxes and he was working at setting up the tools and machines for the first time.
Thanks for the invite. I may take you up on it sometime. I have read a few posts from your group some time ago, and will look further. Thanks again!
John is the KING of '32 stuff around here. Yes, my partner is Kevin. The shop on Factory is night and day from the **** hole on Addison.
