Very well said..............If he had the "I'll send it to the junk before I let anyone else have it" then he wouldn't have let anyone see it in the first place.

And being from Kansas I doubt his children have the looney left mentality to send it to the crusher.

fab32 ,if i had the stuff and was in my 80s knowing damn well i had no chance of restoring ALL that tin,and seeing guys who would restore it ,approach me and want to do something with it..DAMN right i would sell it,aint doing me any good rusting out there in some field,having "good" memories of those cars aint gonna bring them back,its not going to stop relatives the state or who ever from selling that stuff from under the guys who would do stuff with it. doesnt mean shit if you are from kansas or where ever,its easier to stick it in the crusher then to haggle with people who know what they are looking at,fact is you dont get it now,you wont get it when some legal gaurdian looks at you and tells you "we got rid of it ,it was just old junk"...been there,heard that.

 

There's a guy here in New Mexico who has a museum and a yard full of cars , prolly over a hundred . Maybe half are A's and T's , pallets full of A engines etc . Won't sell any A or T stuff .
If he lived to be 200 years old he couldn't restore it all , but at least it's all in one place now .

If you ever hoped to buy some of this stuff, you just blew it for everybody....nice job. I don't let anyone in my garage let alone in pastures full of good iron with cameras.
