    the shocks are cantilieverd
they have L shaped arms that pivot on a stud off the frame
then have old ford ball ends with reproduction dog bones to attach them to the axle
the front is 100% ratio and the rear is 66% since theres almost no weight back there

none of my pictures really show them that well....and the front end is on right now....but they're pretty simple

I'll most likely buy a Sellers Hallock
The time involoved to make one "correct" isnt qworth it. I might as well just fork out the cash

  2. I have a barn you can store it in for as long as you'd like Zach... just be sure to sign the title and leave me the keys once it's all done and running... I promise to take really poor care of it... I'll even let the pigeons poop all over it for you. We really need to get the period correct look down so I'll make sure it has a few tiny stone chips in your beautiful hallock windshield and maybe even a dent or two in your hand formed front end with a smattering of bugs and mosquitos properly adorning it's flanks. You can pick the car up right after my funeral. Did I mention I have a barn yet? :D

  3. As I have said before, Zach, simply a beautiful thing, a true work of art. When did you get the gauges BTW, I don't remember seeing them when I was over.

    Lovely.

Zack that thing is amazing! Cant wait to see it finished. It looks like you had your gauges restored they look great, I need a good resto shop for early SW's, can you recommend the shop who did yours?

    Thanks,

The proportions are outstanding. A really stylish job well executed. Is it ever going to have headlights?

    thanks everyone
the gauges are not restored...just pretty nice originals

it will get lights...i think i have a good spot for them but not too sure yet
trying to mount them without cutting a big hole in the nose on each side

assgasket, your welcome to come measure whenever, nothings really normal on this car though. you might be better off measuring one of my other cars?

evol55....no mud on this one....its not going to be done in time, I'm running out of money for all the little stuff

  23. You guys that want to see this car in person have the right idea.
Pictures are fine, but seeing it in person is phenomenal.
I'm not trying to stroke his ego either.
The point is, this guy gets it, and has the skills to build a beautiful, well executed piece.
Now, FINISH the little roadster so we can see some action footage.
I want to see how well it handles the track at the fairgrounds.

Are you going to at least drag it to the Showdown so we can drool over it in person? You could set up a peep show- $1 for a minute of staring at it, that'd fund finishing it.

That is some seriously great work.
