  2. thanks, I should have the front of the frame boxed tonight and hopefully by the weekend be welding in the new cross member. It's slowly starting to look like a truck again

This is my ebay car. I guess I got what I paid for, just not a good piece of wood in it!

  6. haha why don't you rub it in.. That looks like it's in good shape. The thing is the pictures of my truck on ebay made it look solid and the guy said all it needed was floors and it would be good to go.... yeah no

  7. Been working like crazy. Got the new front cross member and front spring perch welded in (thanks to my buddy for his superior welding abilities :D) and once again I have a rolling ch***is. Now I just have to mount the split wishbones and get the cab leveled out then I'm ready to attempt to rebuild the floors. Slowly but surely.

I bought a car sight unseen once and only once. It was an expensive lesson that hopefully has been of some value to me over time. The good news for you is that you own a popular body style that you can buy panels for. You also can buy a donor body if you get into something that need major replacements. I have a project on deck that needs a donor roof. Roofs are easy to find since mose rust buckets are rotted out on the bottom. The best way to learn this stuff is by doing it. Roll your sleeves up, get a decent MIG, a good right angle grinder, a scroll saw, a set of hammers and dolleys and get it going. Welcome to rust repair.
