I have a few of Kent's tapes, he seems to do top notch work with an extremely vast knowledge of metalurgy, and forming. If I had the cash and the time,I'd definatly go.I went to a class in NH put on by a guy in a 2 bay garage,I learned some of the basics, got more out of learning how to make my own tools.

why not try metalmeet.com you can learn without having to pay alot of money. they have metal meets where everyone gets together and shares information.

from my experience a 2-3 day class isn't going to do much for you. you'll learn a little but not as much as you would think for what you pay.
the international metalmeet in october, in illinois, is a week long, gene winfield showed up and shared his knowledge as well as alot of other professionals. I think it was 150.00 dollars to attend for the week. not bad if you ask me.
