  15. Careful what you ask for! I'm sure you can fill your weight limit with your own stuff, but thanks for the offer.

I'm already here... The fairground area is pretty big. (800-900 cars wouldn't be too tough) Non show parking might be kinda rough (outside the grounds) and I'm sure they will charge for that. It is spead out a little more than what Ventura Fairgrounds are. Huge stage and lots of grass, but as someone already mentioned..... not much SHADE. Bring your EZ up or whatever....

  17. Good, that should encourage more people to participate instead of leaving their cool cars at home, as too many have mentioned doing

Sent the entry fee in today. Wonder what the charge will be for spectators? There will be shade until around 1100 when the fog burns off - fog returns in the evening. Don't forget warm clothes - AC not required here.

Come join all your friends in their Kustoms and Hot Rods as we take to the streets of Santa Maria and its beautiful surrounding country side.

We will be lining up on Thornburg (in front of the fairgrounds) @ 6-6:30pm. From there we will be traveling through some of the most beautiful country side in the Central Coast, no stop signs or lights (yep, no over heating in traffic). The first town we will be cruising to is Los Alamos. Here you will find several points of interest, the first being the Union Hotel, built in the late 1800’s, today in it’s all original style, serves as a bed & breakfast with full bar and table dining for 50. While in Los Alamos you can shop the antiques at the Antique Depot, or grab a drink at the Steelhorse Lariat Saloon. Other stops include Twin Oaks Restaurant- Charlie’s Café and a Chevron.

The second city on this back country journey is the town of Cazmallia, or lack there of. All that’s here is the Best Steak-Ribs-Chicken-Quail BBQ in the whole Central Coast. The place is called the Hitching Post and has been serve’n it up they’re way since 1944, they’ll be set up to serve 150 people at a time in the side
Courtyard. The Hitching Post will be on your left, find parking and settle in for a fine Western American meal and damn good time! There’s plenty of parking throughout the streets for everybody.

    Directions To Los Alamos:

Directions From Los Alamos to Cazmallia:
Follow Hwy135 north out of Los Alamos….15.1 mls
Stay Left at fork taking HWY 1, follow HWY 1….2.4 mls
At the flashing light/stop sign go Left onto Black Rd….3.5 mls
At Pt. Sal go Right…0.4 mls
The Hitching Post will be on your left, find parking and settle in for a fine Western American meal and damn good time!

Directions to return back to Santa Maria:
    Take Pt. Sal….0.4 mls
Black Rd. go Left, follow straight through the flashing red light till
Black Rd. becomes Betteravia, at Broadway go Left
and this will drop you back in the heart of Santa Maria.

It cleared up at 10am today, 5-03-08. It was warm clothes weather last night in MorroBay for the cruise - similar to SM weather.
