anyone know the body dimentions for my 34 5window master mine has no wood left and the body is very flimsey. I am also in need of new rockers any sugestions on Chevy parts most seem to sell fat fendered stuff.
"Ahhh....that makes sense. Is the '35 master the same as a '36? I know where there is a '35 master for sale, rough shape but fixable." . . 35 master is similar to the 36 in looks [way different than a 35 standard] but nothing interchanges. 35 masters are all by themselves with suicide opening doors....even on coupes and tudors.
Also the 35 master sport coupe (three widow) has a rumble seat. The 35 master business coupe (five window) has a trunk.
I am building a 34 chevy 2 dr sedan (seems to be even more rare on this site). I say building, it has been at a stand still for over a year because I can not find any doors. Anyone out there have any leads on a set of doors for a 33-35 2 dr sedan (master or standard...does not matter). Getting ready to cut up a set from a 4 dr to make what I need. Not trying to hijack a thread, just seems like a thread with even more like minded individuals. thanks guys.
Man I feel your pain. I was so desperate for a right door for my '33 5w that I bought a set of sedan doors and just plan to cut an inch out of the length. If you could find a set of coupe doors I would make you one hell of a deal, the sedan doors I have are in really good shape. To compensate for the thread hijack, here are some more pics.
I built this one back in the nineties. I appologize for the billet, bling, etc. I chopped it 3.5 inches, filled the roof, put in a steal floor, etc. I replaced most of the wood and used steal tubing in some areas.
Glad this thread came back, my dad traded a 50 Merc for a 35 standard sedan back in the 60s his dad owned a bodyshop so dad had one of the bodymen help him put a 392 hemi in it and drove the **** out of it. He later sold the car and lost track of it, fast forward to 85' he was mapping an area for a fiber optic cable run and looked uder a carport in an alley. Bam there was the 35' all cobbled up with a Ford six and Mustang II parts bird **** welded on it. He found the owner and bought it back took it home and swore it would rust to the ground before he would sell it again. Bout three years ago I started stealing parts off it, taking them to my shop and workin em over. As of right now I am down to the main body with the wood replacement and unbrazing the doors. Dad just found out the thing was missing half the parts and I had to tell him what was up, I was hoping to get the car to my house and really make him freak. Sorry for the hijack but this story fits, I will try to get some pics so you can see the sad shape of things.
What coupes are left is amazing seeing as how many were sacrificed and yet so few were made. Most cl***es were ruled to have matching brands--engine and body as well as frame. It didn't matter what decade they came from. Before fibergl***, it was getting scarce in these parts.
Thats a 34 olds I might interested in buying some parts from you. BTW heres mine not a 34 chevy but olds.
I've had my '34 5 window for 26 years. Just your basic old beater hot rod with built 283, 5 spokes and primer. Been that way about 25 years. My wheel base is shortened 4" in the front, which makes it look more like a '33. I'll post pictures went I learn how.
You guys are probably getting tired of seeing it....still not done. But, here's my 1933 Chevy oval racer/hot rod
Heres a pic of my buddys car. He's running a stroked 392 should be ready for g***er nationals at thompson.
