Whos going to the Rhinebeck NY car show??? I know theres always alot of trailer queens there but its still fun with the car coral and all the other junk that goes on there. The weather looks like shit but they say its only possibly gonna rain on saturday an sunday and theres always a bunch of people if the suns out. Im goin for all 3 days like every year just wanted to see whos goin and let others know that its this weekend the 2nd 3rd and 4th. -Jon
I'll be there Saturday. This is one of my favorites. Good show,swap meet and Car corral. Plus I get to hand out about a thousand damn flyers for our car show and cruises. Glenn.

Rain is possible for saturday but they said its only gonna be a few sprinkles. I just got back from buying a ton of stuff in the swap meet hahaha Ya gotta love getting there on friday morning and snagin some good deals up. Rain or shine it will be a decent show. There are alreasy a ton of vendors there selling parts to t shirts haha. -Jon
well all and all the show turned out pretty decent not as many as on the nice weather days but the swap meet was pretty damn good I got me some nice gauges and things. I also sold my Jeep in the Car Coral and my good friend sold his a Sedan in the car coral. That 36 or 37 chevy coupe was a Joke. Wasnt the price like 6k and it was rotted to death lol it made me laugh. -Jon
Seen another one lately? Those '36 Chevy 3-windows are damned scarce. Then again if that's the definition of "rotted to death" then it's probably time to find a new hobby. I quit going before the gas even went up because I was spending more than I was selling there without even spending anything on crap at the meet. I let my one friend go and set up, he likes to go and spend three days down there. If I had my diesel running I might swoop down in Saturday about 6 AM and set up, but I hate to spend three days camped out like that.
The pictures don't do justice to just how BAD that 36 Chevy 3 window coupe actually was. It is no better than the 35 Chevy sedan I recently bought from a junkyard for $500. Not good for anything but a stock car body in my opinion...but the asking price was $6,000 with a "make offer" notation. Could it be brought back? Sure....but there sure isn't $6,000 worth of anything there that would still be used. I'd say $2,500 would have been a reasonable starting pont with a sale price closer to $1,500.

Just got back from Rhinebeck, only live 3 miles away but considering the forecast, today was great, we vend and show cars but don't take any of it seriously more interested in BBQing, drinking and seeing friends that stop by every year. Had I seen this thread earlier I would have invited all the HAMBers to stop in. Definitely next year. Got some pictures but can't get them posted.
I knew something must've been going on at Rhinebeck ... I was just up in the area this weekend for a geology field trip ... it was hard to keep focused on the rock outcrops with all the cool cars going by.
hey that was the first time i was up there for this swap meet / car show usually go to the goodguys show in september lots of stuff there I will go again I will just stay on the taconic and not follow the gps through the back roads dam flying deers overall the car isnt to bad just my pride was hurt couldnt find the deer i did pull the quarter out oh thanks for the complement on the cars still need to sell it though
