I would leave it just like it is and just drive the **** out of it.You can always buff it out later.

either ditch the doors or lengthen them. proportions are off as it is mocked up.

  6. That made a huge difference!
I'm still thinking the rear axle could come ahead just a little.
    This is cool.

the top heavy nose balances out the fins...very nice...i'd increase the grill size so its even more proportioned

Well, the thing about that is, I would have probably gone for no hood and a blown Hemi myself, but a) I couldn´t be bothered to draw one and b) I´m not sure Pete can afford one!:D

I actually have the makings of a blown hemi although as some know was ripped off on two 392's.... but the one I have already has a home.......

I do like the idea of moving the wheels fwd a little too. I like the hood though as it sort of carries the caddy theme....

Once again thanks James, and all the other comments, will ceratinly be keeping the caddy panels now.

Alright, just one last shot, if you think its too long. I shortened the whole car in front of the back wheels, rather than just moving the axle forwards. There is already quite a lot of fin behind the wheel, which is easier to see from this shot...

...but my pic is from a slightly deceptive angle - its not a side view, but it kind of looks like one. I think it is an improvement.

  13. That's it.
It was that large expanse of trunk between the tire and the seat that was messing it up.

that last one gets it , kind of a 58 caddy speedster.
I would be tempted to mount the tops of some 58 cad fenders on the side of the hood, and use the dual headlights from the cad. that would also give some room for a wide v8, and didn't 58's have a neat chrome strip on top of the fenders?
also I wonder if there would be a way to incorperate the dagmars into the front?
Fill that modified track nose with a 58 cad grille.

Thanks James - Will be printing this out and putting it on the shed wall - awesome. Certainly going to have a crack at this when the 28/29 Coupe is done. Will make a great shop car. Thanks again.

Some good ideas there too - thanks

Get busy with the welder and the sawzall! I have my own ideas about how I would go about it, but I would like to see someone else do it using their own vision. It's about ****in' time someone is trying to build one. ha ha ha

  19. How's the progress? Any pics to post? Is it finished yet?
