Ok, so I have a 66 Econoline Pick-up that I will be starting to work on later this summer. I have been on this site for a while just looking around and reading up. The entire build will not be hamb friendly as I heard someone else say, but I do want to keep the bulk of it era specific. I want to get some good examples of 60s era hotrods. I have done some searches on this site, but have just recently decided that I wanted to keep it more era specific. Does anyone have some pictures or know of some good sites where I can get some ideas of what was being done back then? I am thinking of things like paint ideas, wheels and tires, interior and things like that.

    Thanks,
    Chad

The best known of these were "wheelie" trucks. Try looking for them. I'll see what I can find.

Thanks for the links. I have seen those threads and am actually subscribed to them. And just for the record, it doesn't have to be econoline specific. All types of cars/trucks are welcome Just trying to get as many good ideas as possible.

    Thanks,
    Chad

Here is one called the "Backup Pickup". An odd, but nicely built truck.

I don't know if the threads discuss them, but other trucks were the Little Red Wagon, Chuck Poole's Chuckwagon, a southwestern truck driven by Mexican Pete, and more.

Reading through that thread showed lots of things going on. It was very informative. This quote really sums up what I am thinking of.

Make a search on the HAMB as well as in general for the Alexander Brothers and you'll find a nice asymmetric custom they did. Worth looking into for sure. Some nice builds and posts on Econos here on the hamb as well.
