Flathead Pete's peter beater has paint

Here you go....

 

Like a pro, I ran the **** outta the sealer in one spot. So, I asked Kirk to lay the color on for me. I'm beyond happy with the result. It's actually a late model GM interior paint code mixed i I into a single stage enamel. It's the closest thing I could find to resemble the Garnet Red that's on Barney Navarro's roadster. Man, I dig it. Jenny came along today to help. She helped me take it all apart and also scuffed the wheels up for a coat or two of cast-iron grey. Can't wait to beat on this some more this summer.

 

BTW....most all those holes in the firewall are now covered by the new steel firewall I made. It matches the bead-rolled pattern on Kirk's '33 truck firewall. Just wait til it's done. Alot of people won't recognize this thing at all.

The color is way better in person, and is quite a bit darker than the pictures.

Post the pics of the big ole hanger in the sealer Pete, that is something to be proud of!

Yep....newwindshield, too!! STeel floor, steel inner and outter firewalls....nice.

 

What motor ended up in it??? I can't remember, I know you swapped it out at one point but not sure if you swapped it back?

 

232 AMC straight 6. Gobs of torque and prolly double the hp as the flatty. Runs great.

 

Cool, that's what I thought. But for some reason I thought you swapped it back?? You have a month to get it together! No excuses this year damnit!!! Can't wait to see it...
